It’s a wrap!
On 20-21 September 2023, FAN and smartEN organized it’s 5th edition energy flexibility conference in Brussels. The event sold out quickly with over 250 participants attending 45 sessions covering flexible energy topics. The attendees came from diverse backgrounds ranging from market parties, system operators, public authorities, researchers and energy intensive industry representatives. All were eager to learn, exchange and debate solutions, aiming to align on the industry’s next steps towards a clean energy transition.
While current energy consumption and geo-politics remain big obstacles, the flexible energy agenda is actually accelerating and becoming a high priority for the European agenda. This approach was recognized in several presentations with the S2 standard continuing to gain more support and traction.
