The Flexiblepower Alliance Network is actively contributing to four Dutch standardization tracks led by NEN. These NTA projects focus on HEMS, heat pumps, home batteries, and solar inverters — the core building blocks of a flexible in homes and buildings.
By helping shape these agreements, FAN contributes to embedding interoperability and real-world flexibility are embedded from the start. This means devices can communicate better, enabling smarter energy use, reduced grid congestion, and new flexibility services for households and businesses.
These developments mark an important step toward a fully interoperable energy ecosystem — and FAN is right at the center of it.
Why this matters
- Common standards for smart energy devices
- Faster rollout of flexibility solutions
- Stronger, future-proof energy system
